Advent’s Goods and Services
Auction
Saturday, May 19th
Although we’re a relatively small
parish church, we aim to make a large impact in the
lives of our young people. Through the
faithfulness and enthusiasm of our youth group members,
advisors, and our parish programs, we try to enrich and
guide the lives of young people in the larger community.
Our program has included annual service projects in
Appalachia; a Hurricane Katrina relief project; weekend
retreats; a spiritually enriching pilgrimage to the
Smoky Mountains; service projects in the local
community; weekly youth activities; involving our young
people in leading worship at family services.
We are hosting our third Goods and
Services Auction on Saturday, May 17th as a
fund-raiser for our high school youth. All are
welcomed to donate goods and services to be auctioned
off, with proceeds going to the youth program. (All donated items are tax-deductible).
As a member of our community,
would you kindly consider a donation for the benefit of
our youth program? We expect a good turnout for
our auction, so every item or gift certificate would be
put to good use. We hope, with you, that some of
our bidders may become new patrons for the organizations
that generously support our project.
Thank you for considering our
request. If you are able to help us along, you
could send your contribution along with the advisor,
parent, or young person who brought this request to you.
If you prefer, a gift certificate could be mailed to our
parish address on this letterhead. All items need to
be submitted to the parish office no later than May 5,
2008, so we can include them in a publicity brochure.
If you can, join us from 11:00 to
2:00 at the auction on May 17th, and pick up
some good bargains for a good cause! Thank you for
your help in supporting our programs with our youth.
